Privacy Policy

The Short Version

We do not upload, store, or see your images. Background removal happens locally on your device in your browser. Your photos are not available to CutoutCat for storage, sharing, or model training.

1. Image Processing & Data

Our background removal tool is built using WebAssembly and client-side processing. When you select an image, it is loaded into your browser's memory, processed locally by your device's CPU/GPU, and the result is generated directly on your device.

The current remover does not transmit your image file to CutoutCat or a third-party image-processing server. Because we do not receive the file, we cannot view, store, sell, or use it for model training. The browser may download the processing model and other application resources needed to run the tool; those downloads are not your selected image.

While the tool is open, the browser holds temporary object URLs for the original and result so it can display them. When you reset the tool or leave the page, the app releases those object URLs. Your browser may manage its own cache according to your device and browser settings.

2. Analytics & Tracking

The current application does not have an external analytics provider configured. It emits anonymous, in-browser events for tool state changes such as upload, successful processing, download, and error handling, but those events are not sent with your image or filename.

Google AdSense is configured for advertising as described below. If a separate analytics provider is added in the future, this policy will be updated to explain what the provider collects and how choices are offered.

3. Advertising & Cookies

CutoutCat uses Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Browser settings can also control cookies and local storage.

Learn how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Advertising does not change our browser-local image processing: your selected image files are not uploaded for processing.

4. Changes to this Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

5. Contact

Contact us at Info@lumostechnologies.tech.

If you have questions about this privacy policy or our privacy practices, please use the CutoutCat contact page. Because the remover does not receive image files and does not create user accounts, there is no CutoutCat image library or account record to delete. Browser-held temporary data is controlled by your device and browser.
